Know The Calories Don’t Count Them


It takes long enough to write down everything you eat, and measure it out. Don’t stop and find out exactly how many calories are in every little thing. If you already measured it you’re usually good. Recent studies show that people who simply keep a daily log of what they actually eat are more likely to change there eating habits.

It is still good to know what’s in what you eat. Now, a carrot or a cucumber is a “no brainer”, as long as you’re not eating a bag of carrots a day. Carrots have quite a bit of sugar in them. When there is sugar calories are soon to follow. A large salad with low fat Italian dressing usually has less than 150 calories. If you’re going to eat calories make it worth it. Don’t eat empty calories. That is, calories with no nutritional value, or at least not the ones your body needs.

Check the labels of food you eat; At least food that have labels. Usually the more real food you eat the less labels there are to read. Buying natural real food will save you time. However, not when it comes time to cooking. Just prep, or complete all the meals one day a week to save time and energy.

When you do start checking the labels you will be shocked what you’re getting. It could be a choice between your two favorite snacks, and then suddenly you find out that one has half the calories. Don’t count the calories just know what they are and make a smart choice. Or, if both are loaded with calories, look for a low calorie snack you like.

You wouldn’t just ad any kind of oil to your car with out checking what kind it is. Perhaps you would if you had an old junky car that leaks oil. Well stop treating your body like an old junky car and start treating your body like a luxury car. Be careful what you put in it, be responsible for it, and stop getting towed around. It’s time to get in the drivers seat again. You’ll be surprised what results you’ll get when you start treating your body and health like it’s already what you truly want it to be.
